L'attore Hollywoodiano. Kiefer Sutherland, che
sta scontando
48 giorni di prigione, sta ricevendo
quotidianamente
un'enorme quantità di lettere dai suoi fans.
Sutherland è dentro per guida in stato di
ebrezza e per aver violato la condizionale.
Il 9 ottobre, la star di " 24 " si è dichiarata
colpevole
di aver guidato con un livello di alcol nel
sangue superiore ai

Hollywood actor Kiefer Sutherland, who is
serving a 48-day jail sentence, is receiving
scores of letters daily from adoring fans.
Sutherland is serving time for his second
drunken driving conviction and for violating
probation.
The "24" star pleaded no contest Oct. 9 to
driving with a blood-alcohol level over the
legal California limit of 0.08 percent.
Sutherland was on probation for a 2004 DUI
conviction when he was pulled over Sept. 25
after leaving a party and subsequently arrested.
"The guy's been getting a ton of fan mail,"
Officer John Balian, spokesman for the Glendale
City Jail, told People.com. "Easily more than
100 letters a day."
However, only Sutherland's attorney has been by
to visit him since he began his sentence Dec. 5,
the magazine said.

automobilistici dovuti ad alcolismo (MADD) vuole che Kiefer
Sutherland non presti più la sua voce per gli spot pubblicitari
della Ford Canada poichè detiene tre condanne per guida in stato
di ebrezza e sta tutt'oggi scontanto una pena a riguardo.
"..L'uomo che sta dietro al ruolo di Jack Bauer, nel serial 24,
non è più un buon testimonial per la casa automobilistica..",
afferma il Presidente della MADD Margaret Miller, come riportato
dalla CBC.

Drunk Driving wants Kiefer Sutherland pulled as the voice of
Ford Canada since the actor holds three drunk driving
convictions and is currently serving a 48-day jail sentence.
The man behind 24’s Jack Bauer is not a good spokesperson for
the car company, said MADD Canada president Margaret Miller, CBC
reports.

responsibility for what’s he’s done.”

Lo so, non è una buona notizia ma serve informarvi.
Kiefer
ha deciso di consegnarsi immediatamente alle autorità
giudiziarie per iniziare a scontare i 48 giorni di pena
scaturiti dalla sentenza per il suo arresto relativo alla
guida in stato di ebrezza.
Sconterà la sentenza nella prigione di
Glendale City
ma a causa di un sovraffollamento seguirà uno specifico
programma di lavoro. Avrà dei compiti nella lavanderia e
nella cucina, servirà la colazione, il pranzo e la cena agli
altri detenuti. Essendo un prigioniero che lavora, sarà in
giro per la prigione per il 75% del tempo anziché essere
confinato nella sua cella per tutto il giorno, sebbene
l'unico tempo in cui starà in contatto con gli altri
detenuti sarà quando servirà i pasti.
Avrà una tuta color arancio e starà da solo in cella poiché è
un detenuto a lungo termine. Riceverà al giorno due pasti
caldi ed uno freddo. Tra le specifiche del menù ci sono corn
flakes, sandwiches, polpette di carne, maccheroni, formaggio
e pollo. Non potrà ricevere più di due visite giornaliere di
15 minuti l'una, tra le 13:00 e le 16:00.
Il Glendale è un carcere di minima sicurezza con 48 celle,
ciascuna di 3 metri x 2,50. Ogni cella dispone di due letti,
una toilette, un lavandino ed una fontana per l'acqua ma
Kiefer non dividerà la sua con nessuno.

I know, this is not a good news but it needs to inform you.
Kiefer made the decision to surrender to custody immediately
to begin a 48-day sentence for his DUI arrest.
Sutherland will serve his sentence at Glendale city jail, but under
a county jail inmate program because of overcrowding.
Sutherland will be assigned to laundry and kitchen duty,
serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to the other inmates. As
an inmate worker, he'll be allowed the roam the jail "about
75 percent of the time" – rather than be confined to his
cell all day – though the only time he'll be in contact with
other inmates is when he's serving food.
He will be issued an orange jumpsuit, and will be housed alone in a
cell, since he'll be a long-term inmate. He will receive two
hot and one cold meals a day. Among the menu items: Corn
flakes, turkey sandwiches, meatloaf, macaroni and cheese and
chicken a la king. He will be allowed visitors between 1
p.m. and 4 p.m. for 15 minutes each. No more than two visits
per day are allowed.
The Glendale jail is a minimum security facility with 48 cells,
each of them measuring 10 feet by 8 feet. They come equipped
with two beds, a toilet, washbasin and water fountain, but
Sutherland won't be sharing his cell with anyone.
